CEO Blog

I am excited to have the opportunity to start a conversation with you, our members. I hope that you will find this blog as a helpful information site concerning our cooperative. My plan for this blog is to offer insights into our business, discuss the future of energy, outline our view of the future, and offer helpful tips on using energy wisely.
Let me start by saying that this is a unique time in the history of our country and the history of our industry. The conversation on energy that is going on across the nation at this time will impact our lives for many years to come. Some of the issues include climate change legislation, the future of coal, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and many other topics that I will continue to address in the near future on this site. I look forward to opening this new line of communication and I hope that you will learn about our industry and enjoy it as well.
If you have any questions concerning my comments, or your service please don't hesitate to contact me.

I am sitting here drinking a cup of coffee and thinking about the future of our cooperative and energy in general. I read an article a few minutes ago about the new Energy Secretary appointment, Steven Chu. In a recent article, he said that the price of electricity is "anomalously low". It is quite obvious to me that there will be significant changes coming to the energy industry with our leaders believing that electricity is too low. What do you think? Is your electric bill too low?
